David Weaver, Esq.

weaverpic.pngDavid Weaver is a graduate of Lafayette College, Easton, PA. He received his J. D. in 1995 from West Virginia University College of Law where he was Law Clerk to General Counsel for the University. In 1996, Mr. Weaver served as Law Clerk for the Honorable Dennis M. Sweeney, Circuit Court for Howard County.


Mr. Weaver's expertise includes construction law, commercial landlord-tenant, employment, transactions, small business and business litigation. Mr. Weaver serves as a mediator to the Circuit Court for Frederick and Howard Counties, as well as Maryland Association of Realtors.


Active in the Maryland Bar Association Mr. Weaver served as Leadership Academy Fellow and as a member of its Committee on Ethics. Mr. Weaver is active with the Frederick County Bar Association, serving as President from 2005-2006. Mr. Weaver is currently on the Board of Directors for both United Way of Frederick County and Rotary Club of Carroll Creek.


Mr. Weaver has received numerous accolades during his career including a four year appointment by Governor Robert Erlich to serve as Chairman of the Judicial Nominating Committee. He has also been named one of Frederick Magazine's Top Lawyers (issues 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009): being rated in the top three of Frederick County Attorney in the areas of construction, employment, and education by his peers. In 2011, Mr. Weaver has was recognised by Superlawyer as one of the top Attornies in business litigations. In 2006, he was honored with the James McSherry Award for his service by the Frederick County Bar Association. In 2016 Mr. Weaver was rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, meaning that his peers and members of the judiciary rate him at the highest level of ethics and professional competence.  Mr. Weaver has also received Merheron Paul Harris Award for his work in Rotary.

Mr. Weaver is a member of the Maryland Court of Appeals and the United States District Court.
